What is EFT?

Simply put, Emotional freedom technique (aka tapping) is an evidence-based, revolutionary therapy method. It’s a combination of ancient techniques and modern psychology, developed by Gary Craig in 1995 to help relieve both emotional and physical distress. It’s similar to acupuncture except that where needles are used to stimulate acupressure points, tapping is used instead. Talking therapy is used alongside to help restore the body’s balance.

Although still being studied, there is a growing body of scientific research which is showing some promising data on its efficacy for a number of common issues backed by

NICE (The National Institute For Health and Care Excellence).

What to expect during a session:

Step 1: Identify the issue
Step 2: Test the initial intensity
Step 3: Set up statement
Step 4: Tapping sequence
Step 5: Test final intensity

Possible reactions you may experience during the session

  • Yawning / sneezing

  • Tingling sensation in parts of the body

  • Emotional discharge

  • Lightheadedness

  • Coughing

  • Burping

  • Feeling hot / cold

  • Lethargy

  • These are natural reactions to your body's healing process and are short-lived.
